Mr. Karun Duggal is a highly respected figure in the chess community with over 30 years of experience. A former National Champion, he has dedicated his life to nurturing young talents and shaping future champions.
Through his coaching, more than 50 state champions have been trained, and over 70 students have earned official chess ratings. For the past 20 years, he has also served as the official coach of Delhi University, guiding countless players toward excellence.
Along with his professional achievements, Mr. Duggal is deeply committed to social service. He has been teaching chess free of cost to children from economically weaker sections (EWS), ensuring that young talent gets the right platform to grow and shine.
Most recently, one of his students secured 1st position in the SGFI National Under-17 Boys Championship (2024–25), adding another proud achievement to his coaching journey.
